Easing Into The New Year

I am cutting a quilt. Winging it. I'll keep you posted.

The VW is fixed, and I'm trying to figure out what to do with the really very heavy, and really very expensive faulty ABS sweating viscous fluid into its box in the living room. I am elated to be free in town! And I am calling AAA on Monday.

The house is full of flowers. Though I love flowers all the time, I think it may become a January tradition. It keeps the holiday feeling to have blooms and bulbs. It is also the month we lost our pregnancy with Anci last year. So it's nice to stay busy, and to have flowers to contemplate in quiet moments.

Spring cleaning is in full effect. Hence the quilting project. We cannot have the all-housework-all-the-time home. No. But we can be indulged by including the campy holiday photo of the (underexposed) living room as evidence of haus frau stars on chart. Let's hear, "oooohh, ahhhh."
